Job Description
Power Systems Forecaster
Primary Talent Partners has an open 12 month W2 contract with a large utilities client of ours in the Charlotte, NC area.
The role will be paying between $40.00-45.00/hr and would be without PTO, benefits, etc (self funded ACA-compliant healthcare plan available to opt-in to)
This role is responsible for developing and implementing IT solutions to enhance business processes and improve efficiency. The position involves analyzing business requirements, creating detailed documentation, and collaborating with IT teams to deliver effective solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
Conduct testing and validation of IT systems to ensure functionality and performance.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IT systems and applications.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and recommend IT solutions.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems and processes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Qualifications
Level of Education and Discipline:
MUST HAVE
a BS or MS in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology
Amount of Experience:
This is an entry-level position, but any pre or post-graduate experience will be considered favorably.
Skills and Abilities
Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or similar is desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate complex materials and concepts.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools such as PowerBI.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills, with a demonstrated attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
