POSITION TITLE
Office Support III
REPORTS TO:
Director, Research & Accountability
BEGINNING DATE

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Understand and follow all policies and regulations of Onslow County Schools, as well as state and federal regulations
Comply with confidentiality requirements in local, state and federal policies and statues
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with all stakeholders within/outside the organization
Strong prioritization, problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills
Ability to interpret and analyze information
Ability to exercise good judgment, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
Strong technical computer skills in the use of Office 365 and other NCDPI required programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to reach with hands and arms routinely. Ability to bend, stoop, carry, crawl, push, or pull. Ability to transport materials.
Ability to operate technology for prolonged periods of time. Ability to carry furniture such as tables and chairs, supplies and materials. Must be able to visually and auditorily effectively communicate with staff.
Must be able to drive to variety of locations necessary to conduct school business. Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and able to lift approximately 50 pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to tolerate a noisy, busy work environment with occasional very loud noises.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Related Associate’s Degree; or
High school graduate and five years of related clerical and computer experience; or
An equivalent combination of education and work experience

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with accurately receiving, sorting, packaging and distributing materials for all local, state and federal assessments in the prescribed manner
Develops and implements tracking processes for test distribution while maintaining an accurate inventory of secure test materials
Maintain test security, data security, and student confidentiality at all times
Creates schedules for pick-up and return of test materials
Understand basic knowledge of testing practices and procedures.
Arrange conference, meeting, and travel reservations for personnel in accordance with district procedures.
Maintain staff schedules and event calendars.
Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
Learn to operate new office technologies and platforms as they are developed and implemented.
Assist with maintenance of testing websites affiliated with Research & Accountability and Student Information Services
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
