Summary:
Provides technical support (development, testing, integration andimplementation) of applications and interfaces which deliver ITtools and support business functions across the healthsystem.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role willfocus primarily on supporting our surgical services operationalteams using Epic OpTime and Anesthesia workflows, providinginnovative solutions to enhance functionality, and troubleshootingissues effectively. Crucial to the position is the ability to workcollaboratively with their team to optimize workflows and tools,adhering to our guiding principles and governing structure. Thisrole will be responsible for analyzing, developing and implementingnew functionality as well as enhancing current build, contributingto meaningful innovations in surgical services workflows. You willbe expected to become an expert in Epic OpTime and Anesthesiaworkflows. You will be expected to take call on a rotation andrespond to requests effectively, updating your team/manager onissues that require escalation. While this position is remoteworking, you will be expected to go onsite across the state forgo-lives and required meetings. An Epic certification in OpTimeand/or Anesthesia be a minimum requirement. The ideal candidatewill have an understanding of surgical services workflows, basicEpic OpTime and/or Anesthesia knowledge, excellent communicationand teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn in anever-expanding field. 1. Assists other IT teams with selection andprovides technical evaluation of products / tools to ensure thatthe proposed solution adheres to enterprise-wide requirements,adapts to new requirements and changing technologies in order tomeet business standardization protocols and objectives. 2. Develops and maintains clear, understandable documentation todescribe program development and modification, as well astroubleshooting. Updates system and support documentation asnecessary to reflect changes to programs, solutions, reports andinterfaces. 3. Functions as liaison to health system departments using ITresources and ensures proper use of resources and maintains highservice levels. May serve as project lead for implementation ofvendor-based systems. 4. Offers design solutions and alternatives to enhance/improveexisting systems. Participates in formulating and defining systemscope, objectives, and solution. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, anddocuments the programs, interfaces and scripts to specifiedrequirements. Devises/modifies procedures to solve problems takinginto consideration computer equipment capacity and limitations,operating time, and form of desired results. Participates as neededin the assessment of systems and their ability to meet technicaland business requirements. 5. Updates management, customers and others as appropriate on atimely basis regarding progress on assigned tasks, projects andissues, via written or oral reports
Other InformationEducation Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information SystemsManagement or related field (or equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience).
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
- If a Bachelor’s degree: Two (2) years of IT systems and/oroperational experience.
- If an Associate’s degree: Four (4) years of IT systems and/oroperational experience.
- If a High School diploma or
GED:
Six (6) years of IT systemsand/or operational experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to workwell in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to successfullymanage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly responsive to internalcustomers.
