Position Summary:

Veolia North America is seeking a results-oriented PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant to drive the optimization and reliability of our PeopleSoft ERP systems for the Municipal Water (Utility) division. This pivotal role bridges the gap between technology and business operations, ensuring our financial systems perform at their peak and support critical business processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to enhance system capabilities, manage configurations, and streamline business process flows. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, adept at translating business needs into innovative, technical solutions. Key Responsibilities:

System & Process Optimization:

Analyze, design, and optimize core business processes within the PeopleSoft ecosystem, specifically for Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Project Costing (PC), and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules.

Techno-Functional Support:

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for PeopleSoft and related financial systems, utilizing SQL, code tracing, and other diagnostic tools to ensure system integrity and performance.

Solution Design & Implementation:

Gather and document business requirements, translating them into comprehensive functional specifications and innovative system solutions.

System Integration Management:

Maintain a thorough understanding of the integration points between PeopleSoft and other critical platforms, including PowerPlan and Oracle EPBCS, to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training:

Engage effectively with business and technical teams to deliver impactful system improvements. Develop and conduct user training sessions and create clear, comprehensive documentation.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, including the creation of detailed test scripts, to ensure the quality and reliability of system enhancements and updates.

Documentation & Procedure Development:

In partnership with the ERP Technical Manager, develop help desk procedures and maintain meticulous documentation of systems, service level agreements (SLAs), and support protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT and ERP application support. Deep functional and technical expertise in PeopleSoft Financials 9.2, including the AP, GL, PC, and SCM modules. Proficiency with PeopleTools 8.59 or higher. Strong SQL skills for data analysis, querying, and troubleshooting. Proven ability to work autonomously with strong self-management skills and a track record of reliability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred:

Prior experience in the utility industry. Hands-on experience with PowerPlan. Working knowledge of Oracle Hyperion, Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), or Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS).
