Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior EDI Implementation Specialist to support the maintenance and day-to-day troubleshooting of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to build experience in EDI operations while learning from a seasoned team. Working under the guidance of the Senior EDI Implementation Specialist, EDI Analyst, and EDI Manager, this position is critical in ensuring that EDI orders flow correctly and onboarding steps are handled smoothly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Monitor the EDI inbox daily for file errors and apply corrective actions + Review the EDI error folder and resolve transaction-level issues + Send standard onboarding email templates to customers during EDI setup + Collaborate with the Customer Service team to track and maintain an escalation spreadsheet for EDI-resolvable order issues + Assist in basic onboarding activities, including setup verification and testing + Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed + Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and communications
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
+ Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field + 1-3 years of experience in supporting EDI transactional level data in a consumer products manufacturing/distribution organization with: + Basic understanding of EDI processes and document types (850, 856, 810)and communications knowledge. + Experience dealing with major retailers at retail and industrial levels. + Basic understanding of shipping logistics + Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, or Eclipse + Willingness to learn SQL or other technical tools used in data validation and troubleshooting + Ability to navigate and work across multiple system interfaces. + Ability to document, follow and understand processes and steps. + Experience working in a high-growth, changeable environment with competing priorities.
