We are currently recruiting on a Business Analyst forTechnology Initiatives job in Rochester, NY.
Summary:
The Business Analyst for Technology Initiatives will work closelywith Sales, Marketing and Compliance, Client and Fund Services,Corporate Accounting and Investment Management groups to analyzeand develop business requirements and communicate theserequirements to the Project Team. To accomplish this, the candidatewill lead the process discovery walk-throughs and process redesignsessions with business representatives, document current processesand ‘to-be’ processes and analyze both to identify most impactfulchanges. Key Responsibilities for the Business Analyst for TechnologyInitiatives job in Rochester, NY include:
- Establishing continuous communication with the businessusers
- Identify and recommend changes to existing processes tohelp meet business requirements. Effectively capture and document,process requirements for assigned projects or enhancements,including work flows, business process instructions, risk controls,and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Gather business requirements from business owners andgeneral users. Understand and document the priority of businessrequests. Develop Project Scope documentation on assigned projectsor project phases.
- Clearly communicate detailed business and systemsrequirements and priorities to IT department via functionalspecifications
- Work closely with the developers to implement the businessand systems requirements
- Ensure that proposed changes/solutions effectively handlethe current pain points (root cause focused)
- Facilitate quality assurance testing of systems andsolutions. Manage the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase of eachassigned project within business group
- Assist in the development of application documentation anduser training programs
- Manage the implementation of business solutions, includingthe release of software/enhancements, process changes, and end-usertraining and documentation
- Coordinating the implementation of user change requests Qualifications for the Business Analyst for Technology Initiativesjob in Rochester, NY include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Finance, with arecord of academic achievement
- Significant experience in the financial industry as abusiness analyst and/or project manager
- Must be highly organized and process oriented withexperience in process re-engineering and process changeimplementation
- Experience working with business groups to produce systemsrequirements from loosely defined business requirements
- Experience writing functional specifications, test scripts,and executing test scripts
- Must have very strong written and verbal communicationskills
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
