Principal Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Smithfield, RI that is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst.

Responsibilities:
  • The Principal Systems Analyst will be leading and contributing to new product technical visioning and high quality solutions
  • Understanding and contributing to scalable technical solutions
  • Examination and analysis of existing IT systems and business models to identify requirements, impacts and dependencies
  • Assistance in defining scope and work sequencing based on analysis of requirements of new and existing systems
  • Writing user stories which include concise and clear system requirements that will be used to implement any of the following: API creation/updates, new data stores/updates to existing data stores and user interfaces, UI design/enhancement
  • Producing use case documents and functional solutions to achieve project goals
  • The Principal Systems Analyst will be developing subject matter expertise for the product area and broader domain
  • Participation in the development and review of test plans, including end-to-end strategies
  • Participation in and leading various initiatives in support of evolving and growing the Technical Chapter and Chapter Area
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Technology-related field preferred
  • 5-7+ years of Systems Analysis experience within the IT field, financial services preferred
  • Good experience in data analysis, data modelling and hands on experience in Oracle/Postgres/other relational databases
  • Experience in Snowflake data warehousing and analytics preferred
  • Experience in designing, managing, and troubleshooting batch processing systems for large-scale data workflows across cloud-based and on-prem environments
  • Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes, Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience is required
  • Knowledge of API Development & Testing, AWS (Cloud) Implementation, Data Design is required and UI Design and Workflow/Process Automation is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly-matrixed environment, involving multiple partners, technical groups, COEs, squads, product areas and domains
  • Experience working in an environment with multiple applications and integrations
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multi-functional teams
  • Technical problem solver, who can work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, engaging, collaborating and supporting capabilities across-product areas and domains
  • Proactive, with a strong desire to learn and become a contributor to a highly functioning team
  • Demonstrable understanding of the financial services industry, attained through training and application experience
  • Good interpersonal skills including negotiation, communication, leadership and influence
  • Adaptable and agile, can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and make project adjustments to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
