Job Description The purpose of this position is to plan andperform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation,organization, and execution of project management assignmentsworldwide. This role has the responsibility to perform theessential job duties and functions as listed below with the overallobjective of managing and/or coordinating project activities thatare in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality,value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completedproject. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope andlevel of responsibility, this position is designed to developbroader project management knowledge and experience. At this level,the role may have the responsibility as the only project engineeron a medium size project with full accountability for the generalduties, or the responsibility for general duties on a larger ormore complex segment of a very large project. Perform basic projectengineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparationof procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, andidentification/evaluation of project issues and problems Coordinateefforts of technical disciplines, vendors and licensors to ensureintegrated and complete designs that meet project requirements andcontractual obligations Review project staffing requirements andcoordinate staffing with supporting functional organizationmanagers and/or subcontractors Support creation and coordination ofoverall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities,progress, and milestones against the plans Support creation andcoordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates andbudgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against theseSupport the preparation, delivery and coordination of projectdeliverables, design documents, and bid packages Other duties asassigned Basic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree orglobal equivalent in engineering field of study and (10) years ofwork-related experience; a recognized professional certification orregistration in the applicable field, if required; some locationsmay have additional or different qualifications in order to complywith local requirements Ability to communicate effectively withaudiences that include but are not limited to management,coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Job relatedtechnical knowledge necessary to complete the job Ability to learnand apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, andfederal/national statutes and guidelines Ability to attend todetail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
