Job Description

  • Only candidates located near the Greenville, SC area are to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
  • Required Education/Experience:
  • BA/BS degree in computer science or business or the equivalent of four years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment
  • 3+ years of IT experience, preferably in the area of computer infrastructure.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
  • BICSI certification
  • PMP
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience driving infrastructure projects from concept and ideation through successful implementation
  • 3+ years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects in a corporate environment.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data.
  • 3+ years of experience communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly terminology
  • 3+ years of project leadership or system responsibility experience in an IT environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience working in an international environment (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (preferred)
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the planning, design and implementation of infrastructure projects
  • Gathers requirements from process partners to ensure an understanding of the business needs in an International environment
  • Assists in the coordination for small-medium sized projects
  • Oversees project deliverables and milestones, reports, and communicates the status to stakeholders as delegated by the Supervisor
  • Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Maintains knowledge of Infrastructure systems and services in terms of technologies and trends
  • Steers service request fulfillment for operational projects and coordinates non-standard requests
  • Prepares communications and makes presentations on requirements, enhancements, and or alternatives
  • Identifies the gaps between the future-state and current-state of Infrastructure architecture and works with other teams to drive development of solutions to meet business requirements
  • Leads agile processes for multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Aligns with global functions on the project execution, strategy and solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor
  • This position is within the IT infrastructure department that focuses on fiber optics and copper cabling from IT room to wver the end device maybe be to get the IT connection directly (not via wireless) This includes cabling, walls and ceilings
  • This role is to support vendors (not manage them) to get them access into IT rooms and scheduling any type of work they have throughout the plant and US region
  • A lot of the work is dealing with new construction or renovations
  • Often times this role has to support this and making sure the business is getting everything w they need w they need it
  • A lot of standards to follow and to be compliant with global IT and other audit points
  • This role also helps on the operational side, making sure that t are no alarms and troubleshooting things that come up day to day
  • Manage any type of outages and troubleshoot to get back up and operational as quickly as possible
Additional Details:
  • This position is mainly onsite, but t is potential for 10-20% work from home after the initial onboarding period is complete
  • Must be familiar with construction environments
  • Will need to go to this construction site 1-2 times a week for walk-throughs
  • This all changes with the construction projects at the given time
  • This is not a desk job
