Months Job Summary:
Duties:
Defines customer needs in technical and businesscontexts. Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet thecustomer’s objectives for the work effort. Provide guidance with planning and prioritization of businesssupport-related activities. 30% Elicit and document user requirements to meet a businessobjective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the informationinto a logical document that is understood by the customer andInformation Systems. 25% Guide both technical and customer departments in thedevelopment of the systems that support the businesssolution. 10% Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the direction ofthe business units to others who support them. 10% Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through reviewof problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, andother analysis activities. 10% Provide input on the business direction for systemchanges. 10% Validate the business need for solutions to businessproblems and process improvements. 5% Assist in the development and documentation of trainingmaterials. Mentor or train less experienced staff.

Fast-paced, high demand environment. Work is frequently performed against mandateddeadlines. Knowledge of when and what to delegate is essential in order tobalance multiple high-priority tasks. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may requireaction and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs ofthe customer.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities:
IT Business Analysis Healthcare experience. Proficiency in Visio and Excel. Agile and Waterfall methodology. Demonstrated understanding of concepts of the supportedbusiness unit. Basic knowledge of standard industrypractices. Demonstrated knowledge of procedures for the businessunit. Able to communicate effectively with technical andnon-technical audiences, including the ability to express complextechnical and business concepts to all management levels, peers,and the business units. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Understands how IT affects an organization and is able to linkit to business processes. Excellent analytical skills. Good conceptual skills. Able to read and comment on test plans and test matrices,project plans, and scope and design documents. Direct experience in Healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid in relatedBSA role 4 years of IT business analysis experience.
Required Software and Other Tools:
Microsoft Office.
Preferred Software and Other Tools:
Visio, MS Project or similar software, data mining using DB2,SQL, and/or other tools.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Conceptual understanding of project managementtechniques. Able to influence and negotiate solutions to businessproblems.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration,or other job related field. or 4 years of job related workexperience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’sdegree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other jobrelated degree.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree-in Computer Science, Business Administration,or other job related field or 4 years of job related experiencewith government business and/or BCBS companies.
Preferred Licenses and Certificates:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA,SAFe Scaled Agile Certification.
