Job Description The Senior Systems Analyst provides expert content and professional leadership on complex Systems Analysis assignments and projects. This role involves analyzing, designing, and preparing application/system specifications for information systems solutions that address business needs, as well as methods for testing and installing them. The Senior Systems Analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user-defined needs, devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. They prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary, and may work with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Additionally, the role involves coordinating activities with other IT sections, acting as an expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process, and being responsible for quality assurance review. The Senior Systems Analyst exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives, uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders, and focuses on providing thought leadership within Systems Analysis while working on broader projects that require an understanding of wider business.
