Job Description

Overview The Technical Specialist will provide expert-level support in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), technical data management, operations management, and program analysis for the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) portfolio. ​ This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in technical data analysis, program coordination, and international sales support. The Technical Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the effective execution of FMS cases, managing technical data frameworks, and supporting operational and analytical tasks.

Responsibilities Foreign Military Sales:

FMS Case Management:

Provide support in the development, coordination, tracking, and management of FMS cases on behalf of PM UAS and PEO AVN Enterprise. ​

International Collaboration:

Assist in liaising with foreign stakeholders to ensure compliance with U.S. Government policies and procedures for FMS programs. ​

Technical Data Management:

Digital Enterprise Framework:

Support the management of Digital Enterprise product data and Digital Thread framework, ensuring accurate logistics product data and system models. ​

Technical Documentation Analysis:

Analyze and assess engineering change proposals, modification work orders, and requests for waivers and deviations to identify logistics impacts and requirements for lifecycle product support. ​

Data Conversion:

Update and convert original documents into Extensible Markup Language (XML) format using tools like Arbortext or similar programs. ​

Operations Management:

Strategic Communications:

Serve as a key contributor to the UAS Project Office’s strategic communications efforts, including preparing, managing, and distributing documentation, written material, and video content. ​

Media Relations:

Coordinate media relations programs, respond to media queries, and manage public affairs reviews for document and video releases. ​

SharePoint Management:

Update and maintain the UAS SharePoint site, ensuring the availability of relevant Army aviation, PEO AVN Enterprise, and UAS stories. ​

Program Analysis:

Purchase Request Development:

Develop purchase requests and provide general knowledge and hands-on experience using Army systems such as the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). ​

Financial Analysis:

Assist in analyzing and resolving issues related to Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP), Financials (FI), and Asset Management (AM) transaction codes. ​

Qualifications Required:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Program Management).

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical data management, operations management, and/or Foreign Military Sales.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in XML data conversion tools, SharePoint management, and Army systems such as GFEBS and LMP. ​ Strong analytical and communication skills to support program analysis and strategic communications.

Security Clearance:

​ Active SECRET clearance required. ​

Work Location:
Primary:

Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. ​

Secondary:

Authorized virtual work location per customer Telework Policy. ​ Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required at other locations. ​

Additional Requirements:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Federal, DoD, and Army regulations related to FMS and technical data management.
