Tampa, FL Role Overview:
Sagitec is seeking a skilled IT Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vulnerability management, system administration, incident response, and application security. As an IT Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization’s assets and maintaining the integrity of our systems and applications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Configure and maintain security-related software such as anti-malware software, host intrusion prevention systems, and data loss prevention tools. Monitor security alerts and incidents, analyzing security data and logs for anomalies. Provide support for security tools and technologies, ensuring their effective operation. Conduct regular vulnerability scans of corporate and client networks, systems, and applications using vulnerability assessment tools. Stay up-to-date on the latest vulnerabilities and exploits by monitoring threat intelligence sources. Collaborate with other members of the security team to improve the overall security posture of the organization. Analyze and triage security alerts to determine their significance and potential impact. Conduct initial investigations of security incidents to determine the scope and impact. Collaborate with other members of the security team, such as Security Engineers, to contain and remediate security incidents. Ensure that incident response procedures are followed and properly documented. Participate in incident response exercises and tabletop simulations to improve incident response preparedness. Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement in incident response processes and procedures. Stay up-to-date on the latest threats and attack vectors through threat intelligence sources. Respond to ad-hoc requests from other teams within the organization for security-related investigations. Conduct security assessments of web applications and mobile applications, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning. Conduct research on the latest threats and attack vectors targeting applications.
What We’re Looking For:
0-2 years’ experience in IT Security. CND, CEH, Linux+, Network+ certifications. Working knowledge and experience in a variety of toolset such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint solutions, vulnerability management, DLP, cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP), and incident response.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in a technical or cybersecurity-related role.
