Remote – EST Hours About the Role Our client is looking for a meticulous IT Security Controls Analyst who specializes in control testing procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing control sets, documenting testing procedures with clear metrics for outcomes, and providing essential guidance to both implementation and testing teams. The position also involves limited direct testing of IT controls. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed control testing plans, ensuring compliance with standards such as CIS v8.1, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001, as well as other regulatory frameworks. Establish and maintain a standardized method for documenting test results, identifying deficiencies, and recommending improvements. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on control testing processes. Collaborate with Security and GRC teams to design and implement a centralized audit evidence repository and GRC tool. Conduct limited IT controls testing for product certifications or internal control monitoring. Create and maintain comprehensive IT control documentation, including control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts. Offer training and support to IT and business teams on best practices and control expectations. Participate in projects and initiatives to ensure controls are seamlessly integrated into IT processes.
Minimum Qualifications Education :
Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
Experience :
5+ years in information security or IT controls testing, with a strong focus on risk and compliance. 3+ years of experience conducting ISO 27001 or other IT/ITGC audits, including managing audit responses. In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as SOC 2, NIST, FedRAMP, PCI, GDPR, etc. Preferred Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective collaboration and stakeholder management. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation for diverse audiences. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and manage projects effectively while meeting deadlines. Robust organizational skills to ensure accurate project documentation and deliverables. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset to anticipate challenges and innovate solutions. Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with stakeholders.
