This is an opportunity to join an established centre of excellence,specialising in a wide range of retirement solutions, providingtechnical expertise and support to our UK Retirement market. We arelooking for strong team players with proven experience of checkingand reviewing technical actuarial calculations, excellentcommunication skills and business acumen.

We will count on youto: Work as part of a great multi-disciplinary team on complexdefined benefit modelling using advanced actuarial skills andtechniques, specialising in complex UK pension solutions You will be responsible for checking and reviewing complexcalculations, as well as communicating the results to consultantsand wider support teams Contribute to continuous improvement by developing anddelivering knowledge sharing / training / process improvementinitiatives and co-ordinate new process rollouts acrosslocations Working in partnership and developing relationships withinternal teams to deliver a streamlined service to other lines ofbusiness within Mercer Directly involved with the management of more junior colleagueswithin the GMP Equalisation team, including supporting withperformance reviews, training and personal development plans Develop skills to support on various consulting aspects of GMPprojects and have direct client contactWhat you need to have: Qualified or part qualified actuary Experience of technical calculations required for GMPRectification and Equalisation projects A good understanding of how UK Defined Benefit pension schemesoperate and experience in carrying out benefit calculations forDefined Benefit pension schemes Excellent analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills,including a good understanding of actuarial approaches forpensionsWhat makes you stand out: Experience working in a similar role within an Actuarial team,working in Pensions, with a focus on technical aspects and solidexposure to consultants and broader client support teamsWhy joinour team: We help you be your best through professional developmentopportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
