We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Workday Consultant to join our team to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients or internal stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver innovative, scalable solutions using Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, or Adaptive Planning modules. This role requires deep expertise in Workday functionality, strong business acumen, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead or support Workday implementation and post-production support for one or more of the following modules: + Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent & Performance + Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management + Recruiting (ATS), Learning + Workday Financials (Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger, AP, AR) + Workday Adaptive Planning (Forecasting, Budgeting, Modeling) + Configure business processes, security roles, calculated fields, reports, dashboards, and integrations + Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional Workday configurations + Partner with technical teams on Workday Studio integrations, EIBs, and Workday Connectors + Support data migration and validation activities during implementation phases + Provide end-user training, knowledge transfer, and develop support documentation + Stay up-to-date with Workday releases and recommend process or system improvements + Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
Requirements Qualifications & Requirements:
+ 3-7+ years of experience in Workday system implementation, configuration, or support + Hands-on experience in at least one core Workday functional area, preferably with cross-module expertise + Strong understanding of Workday’s Business Process Framework, Security, and Report Writer + Experience with EIBs, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors for integrations is a plus + Familiarity with data migration, tenant setup, and testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to lead workshops and demos + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Workday Certification in HCM, Financials, Payroll, or Adaptive Planning strongly preferred + Experience in Agile or hybrid implementation methodologies Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): + Exposure to Workday Extend (custom apps) or Workday Prism Analytics + Familiarity with SOX compliance, GDPR, and HR/Finance audit requirements + Experience working in multi-national environments with multiple currencies and legal entities + Project leadership or team lead experience + Certifications in project management (PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
