The Data Analyst gathers, profiles, cleans, and models data used in the delivery of data services to business partners. Uses various tools to extract and analyze data from different source systems and collaborates with team to identify and prioritize work. This role would suit people who like working with raw data and in creative innovative solutions to solve data problems. This position is an in-person position, requiring the candidate to work from the corporate office location in Orlando, FL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Create SQL queries to analyze datasets and identify correlations and patterns that give insight into the health of the data. Present findings to senior analysts and developers, and work together to develop plans to improve the quality of data. Work with business data stewards to establish standard quality targets for data assets. Regularly monitor the quality of data based on the standards established, report out to data stewards, technical leads, and business users regularly. Develop solutions using SQL, Power BI, Informatica and other technologies that help to highlight data quality problems with completeness, validity, conformity, etc. Work with data stewards to routinely monitor and take action against reported problems. Participate in meetings to gather business requirements for data solutions. Document requirements in such a way as to present to the technical team. Participate in the use of Agile practices to elicit and refine requirements through an iterative process of planning, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing, developing, and delivering enterprise data asset solutions. Document various aspects of the enterprise’s data assets including databases, stored procedures, reports, data tables/fields, and others.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field required. Equivalent professional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree. 1-3 years’ experience as a Data Analyst SQL, Power BI and/or Excel experience or training in performing data analysis. Capacity to work with large amounts of data, extract relevant information and draw logical conclusions. Demonstrated expertise in SQL. Strong technical and mathematical skills. In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques. Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders and IT associates. Candidate should have an analytical mindset with the ability to analyze problems from different perspectives and use creativity to solve problems and proactively recommend solutions. Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predications. Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running. Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism. Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines with minimal supervision.
