Glance:

The Consultant, Annuity Product Technical Support role will primarily be responsible for more complex development of benchmark test tools for our annuity illustration and administration systems. This position will provide more complex, forward-thinking analysis furnishing advice to various stakeholders, providing support for numerous functions of the Annuities group and delivering on routine assignments/projects while applying knowledge of his/her assigned area. The incumbent will act as a primary resource for annuity illustration & technical questions or issues. In addition, the incumbent will support other ad hoc annuity analytical initiatives. What you’ll be doing What you’ll be doing + Develop and implement more complex Excel-based testing models for Variable, Fixed, Indexed, Immediate and Deferred Income Annuities to ensure the accuracy of our illustration system(s), including but not limited to: Adding new products to existing spreadsheet models, creating new spreadsheets for new products, and updating existing spreadsheets for product changes. + Analyze and prepare spreadsheets for the Illustration and technical system(s) with each release to verify product accuracy. + Lead in debugging the Illustration and technical system and determine the sources of differences from the benchmark tool. + Add new products and update existing products as needed in the NY Reg 60 spreadsheet + Respond to queries from distribution regarding product illustrations and projections. + Clarify product design and calculations using benchmark test tools. + Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. + Promote and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility. + Perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. + Serves as a resource for ad hoc annuity
