General Responsibilities:
Research, test, and evaluate best practices for Unmanned Ground Systems. Stay current with industry trends, UGV technologies, make recommendations for future technical development. Conduct operational checks and maintenance to ensure the UGVs are in optimal condition for safe operation during training and classroom instruction. Employ sensors in manual or computer-assisted modes to acquire, track, and monitor ground objects. Develop non-routine training materials to educate end users on the latest operating and maintenance procedures for unmanned ground vehicles systems. Maintain and organized technical data developed from research and testing for future reference. Support testing and experimentation in a field environment. Install/Operate/Integrate digital cameras equipment into UGV systems. Test electronic theory and schematic drawings to update or modify UGVs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical major / background of education and training Knowledge of design, fabrication, and integration Good writing skills to be used in professional communication and test reports Must have a valid state issued driver’s license
Security Clearance Required:
Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements :
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office. The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Must be able to walk 2 miles unassisted in uneven terrain (sand at the beach). Ability to carry up to 25 pounds for extended periods and able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
