Summary
The Infrastructure Analyst reports to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for managing and maintaining the college’s virtual infrastructure. This position also serves as a backup to the Network Administrator and requires the ability to work on complex network, communication, and configuration issues.
Essential Functions

Virtual Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the college’s virtual and cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Network Responsibilities:

Serve as a backup to the Network Administrator, assisting with network-related tasks and issues.

System Monitoring:

Monitor system performance and backups and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Security Measures:

Implement and manage security measures to protect the college’s virtual infrastructure.

Documentation:

Document all processes and maintain records of system upgrades and changes.

Disaster Recovery:

Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in an information technology related field from an accredited institution. One year experience in network infrastructure is required.
One year experience in virtualization infrastructure is required.
Knowledge of virtual infrastructure environments including design, management, and disaster recovery configurations.
Knowledge of principles, methods and techniques for layout, installation, configuration, integration and operation of network systems, components, equipment, and devices.
Strong organizational skills.
The ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students.
