Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Develop software applications in support of data warehouse and support issues for assigned client projects including full software development life cycle (SDLC) including plan, design, develop, test and documenting new computer systems. Work with Business Analysts to provide technical design solutions on financial applications including Equity and Trade Settlements. Develop data models to support report requirements. Develop reports and dashboards. Perform programming for data models. Maintain and support Windows Server 2012 R2, Linux CentOS/Ubuntu, Solaris and VMware infrastructure (6.0 ESXi) as required. Apply experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle database in an Availability Groups configuration deployment. Perform
SQL, PL/SQL
Oracle programming. Create and modify database objects including tables, indices, views, and triggers. Submit and process change tickets, and execute code and job monitoring to manage IT environment. Utilize CRON scheduler (for batch jobs). Apply strong working knowledge in ERwin Case tools, Visio, TOAD (or equivalent database tools) as needed. Design procedures for application deployments and code review. Utilize Perl, Python, Oracle and UNIX Shell scripting. Coding languages, frameworks and technologies including Python, Unix and Perl;
SQL, PL/SQL
Oracle Programming; SQL server, Oracle database. Create UNIX Shell scripts for automated testing. Apply proficiency in writing KSH scripts to monitor server availability, disk space, processor and network utilization, system IO states and logs. Develop web based application using
CGI/HTML.
Provide Perl programming using HTML. Apply strong working knowledge with Perl DBI/DBD to generate various types of reports. Apply knowledge of WebLogic, Apache or other application servers as required. Liaise between end users and specific business areas to maintain reliability and operation of supported systems. Implement data warehouse applications to support accurate data analysis and modelling, and provide sup-port, troubleshooting and deployment. Provide high level technical solutions to business needs that are also easy to use. Perform troubleshooting to resolve production issues and bugs within settled service levels. Provide 24×7 user support as needed, overseeing management of production problems and ensuring timely and effective resolution. Work on long or short term engagement at client locations as assigned. Domestic travel for short and long term assignments at client locations as needed.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or directly related field and one (1) year of programming experience. Must also have one (1) year of experience utilizing the following technical skills: Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including plan, design, develop, test and document new computer systems; Implement data warehouse applications to support accurate data analysis and modelling, and provide support, troubleshooting and deployment; Change tickets, executing code and job monitoring to manage various IT environments; Coding languages, frameworks and technologies including Python, Unix and Perl;
SQL, PL/SQL
Oracle Programming; SQL server, Oracle database; Design, develop, test, and support database objects including but not limited to data models, triggers, packages, procedures, functions, and data loads; Analyze and evaluate code base in order to maintain continuous integration, identify issues, provide feedback and meet quality standards; and Perform and document requirements analysis, confirm the requirements with the customers, and develop and deliver solutions as per the requirements. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to unanticipated client locations in the US. Domestic travel for short and long term assignments at client locations as needed.
