Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The EDI Analyst will support the management, development, and troubleshooting of our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth data communication between our internal ERP systems and external trading partners. The EDI Analyst will also be responsible for onboarding new trading partners, setting up and maintaining EDI profiles, and working cross-functionally to ensure successful integration and ongoing support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Monitor, analyze, and support daily EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810) with customers and vendors + Troubleshoot and resolve EDI processing errors, mapping issues, and data discrepancies + Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Sales, Operations, Accounting) and external partners to maintain EDI compliance and efficiency + Onboard new trading partners and maintain existing partnerships by creating and maintaining EDI maps and profiles + Document EDI processes and maintain system configuration standards + Provide EDI support for ERP implementations, migrations, or upgrades
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
+ Associate’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred. + Experience with SAP and Syspro ERP systems is highly desired + Experience with Eclipse ERP is a strong plus + Proficiency with
ANSI X12
standards and common transaction sets + Hands-on experience with EDI tools and VANs (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, IBM Sterling) + Working knowledge of XML, flat files, and data translation software + Understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes + Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
