DESCRIPTION
Provide expert project management support in the areas of scheduling, estimating, planning, project execution and strategic planning. Perform major organization assessments, project leadership assessments, and NNSA HQ interface to the SRPPF organization. Provide mentoring to project/program managers and project control personnel in 413.38 implementation, project execution, Independent Project Reviews (IRR), Annual Project Reviews (APR) and EVMS. Lead and/or participate in major project reviews such as contractor red/green team reviews ahead of IPRs, APRs, ICE, preliminary/final design and CD-3x packages submittals. Provide consultation on all aspects of the plutonium facility operations to include multi-shift operations, BG operations (acquisition/operability/constructability), waste management and radiological operations. Advise and support management in development of integrated team structure, leading identification of mission objectives and performance evaluation. Provide oversight of support operations, possible involving multiple projects and groups of personnel. Support the SRNS operations organization conducting classification reviews, determinations, and development for all the Operating facilities at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) facilities and NNSA Capital Projects (NCP). Provide training for SRNS Derivative Classifiers/Reviewing Officials (DC/RO). Provide technical support and interpretative guidance for DC/ROs and answer questions from other site personnel. Coordinate guidance with SR for approval and implementation. Interface with DOE-SR and

Classification Office staff as needed to respond to requests, assist in development of classification and UCNI guidance, answer scientific and technical questions, and enforce requirements. Brief all levels of management on classification issues and classification requirements for sensitive technologies and processes. Review, perform declassification actions, and make deletions and redactions where necessary in order to ensure specifically requested documents and materials are approved for release to citizen groups and members of the general public. Services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in a technical field with 25 years broad experience in engineering, operations, marketing, strategic and business planning, or a bachelors degree in a technical field with 30 years experience as described above. 20 or more years of experience working in plutonium facilities or on plutonium projects. 15 or more years of 413.3B project management experience 5 or more years of experience on
NNSA/DOE
capital line-item projects Alternate combination of experience/qualification & certification will be considered where candidate does not have a degree.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of operation and technical experience in the Tritium Facilities (NNSA) or the commercial nuclear industry. Candidate must have been proficient in one of the Tritium Facilities and has in-depth knowledge of Tritium Processes to include reservoir loading/unloading. Previous experience with the use and implementation of TCG-BTS-2, Boosting and Transfer Systems; CG-NMP-2, Nuclear Material Production; and CG-SRS-IC51-; SRS Tritium and Weapons, and related guides and bulletins. Demonstrated proficiency in classification and declassification determinations, and knowledge of reservoir design and function. Candidate must demonstrate personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work; and proficiency in performing Nuclear Technical Support assessments. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. Ability to work in a diverse work environment. Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening. Desired Qualifications Active DOE L or Q security clearance. Qualification as Derivative Classifier and Reviewing Official (DC/RO). Qualification as Derivative Declassifier (DD). 10 or more years working at the Savannah River Site is preferred. Demonstrated previous Tritium experience is preferred.
LOCATION
Position will be 100% onsite, Aiken, SC. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate’s expense.
Anticipated Work Schedule :
6am to 430pm, Mon-Thurs.
