JOB SUMMARY
The Applications Analyst supports and troubleshoots. The Application Analyst will typically be working with both end users and developers. The Application Analyst will be responsible for analyzing systems, auditing, verifying data, testing and evaluating. They may work with specialized applications or cloud solutions that need to be customized to the Town’s unique environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Answers calls, tickets, and emails from customers. Coordinates with users on ticket priorities. Configures with users on ticket priorities. Troubleshoots issues with the customer’s software or hardware. Logs all requests and solutions. Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analysis methods to arrive at results. Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis. Provides maps and data sets as requested in an interdepartmental environment. Works in conjunction with CAD drafters and technicians. Helps manage the data used in asset management applications and other GIS environments. Participates in projects as required. Keeps application documentation updated. Performs other related assigned duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, or related field and three (3) years of related work experience. Preferred experience in operating ESRI’s suite of ArcGIS software. Preferred experience implementing or working with work order management and permitting applications such as Azteca’s Cityworks, Cartegraph, Lucity, or similar asset management software; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
