Roles and Responsibilities:
CONUS and OCONUS travel is required.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio frequency (RF) and satellite communications (SATCOM) systems.
Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner and IAW established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems.
Read and interpret engineering drawingsCommunicate technical information clearly both verbal and in writing.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate recordsTroubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to SATCOM terminalsProvide technical reports as necessaryPerform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline with 8 years of experience, or in the absence of a bachelor’s degree, 10 years of related experience.
Knowledge of SATCOM networks and terminals.
Requires a valid U.S. drivers license and the ability to obtain an international drivers license.
Strategic or tactical multi-channel satellite communications experience.
Strong grasp of satellite communications operational theory.
Must be hands-on person with the knowledge to operate and configure the following equipment to include, but not limited to:
Antenna Control Unit (ACU), satellite acquisition
SSPA/HPA, LNA/LNB
– Low NoiseFiber/Coax/Ethernet Cable Work
FDMA/TDMA
