Job Description

UX Design Lead Our Preferred Healthcare Client is seeking a Product Strategy Senior Advisor to join their design leadership team. This role is crucial for shaping the consumer, provider, client, and broker experiences across both organizations. We’re looking for a highly collaborative and creative individual who thrives in ambiguous environments and is passionate about driving innovation.

About the RoleYou’ll tackle early-stage, abstract problems, working on projects typically lasting three months. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying user needs, defining business value, and refining problem statements. This isn’t about simply executing pre-defined specifications; it’s about a human-centered design approach to collaboratively define problems and develop impactful solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesProblem Solving & Innovation:

Work on complex, ill-defined problems, identifying core user needs and business opportunities.

Human-Centered Design:

Apply design thinking frameworks (e.g., Double Diamond) to conduct in-depth user research (interviews, ethnography, data analysis), develop and test prototypes, and iterate solutions based on user feedback.

Collaboration & Communication:

Partner closely with product and engineering teams in cross-functional settings. Facilitate workshops, clearly communicate findings, and influence stakeholders through compelling storytelling.

Strategic Impact:

Define problem statements and develop innovative solutions that address both user needs and business goals.

Essential Skills & QualificationsProblem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment.

Design Expertise:

A strong background in UX/UI design and extensive experience with human-centered design methodologies.

Communication:

Excellent communication and storytelling skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within agile environments.

Experience:

3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Ideal BackgroundWe’re particularly interested in candidates with:

Experience from leading agencies (e.g., IDEO, Frog, Accenture, or similar).Advanced degrees in product design, experience design, or innovation.

Previous experience in enterprise innovation labs (e.g., Fidelity, CapitalOne).Experience working within complex or regulated industries.

Familiarity with empowered product models and a human-centered design approach, demonstrating an ability to define problems and drive solutions collaboratively.

Portfolio ExpectationsYour portfolio should showcase a holistic approach to design and provide clear evidence of:

Design Philosophy:

Articulate your understanding of design’s role in addressing human needs, business opportunities, and technical feasibility.

Comprehensive Design Process:

Demonstrate your approach to projects, including:

Problem Definition:

Showcase your research, user interviews, and data analysis.

Ideation:

Provide examples of low-fidelity prototypes, sketches, and workshop facilitation.

Solution Development:

Present high-fidelity designs and prototypes.

Impact Focus:

Highlight the qualitative and quantitative impact of your designs on both users and the business.

Essentially, we’re looking for designers who not only create visually appealing solutions but also demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs, business goals, and the entire design process.

LocationRemote ( must work EST Coast Hours) Interview ProcessThe interview process typically includes an initial screen, a panel interview, and a final interview.

Client DescriptionThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $54to 60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
