Opportunity to Join a fast-growing startup, now backed by a global defense leader. Here you will own the front-end of cutting edge defence hardware exposing you to C++ and embedded systems.
Established back in 2022, this established start-up has already gained huge traction within the defense industry after winning multiple long terms projects to deliver the high tech and innovation battery storage / power generation products to the sector! Now set to double in size over the next 6 months, they are looking for a senior software engineer (Front end) to join their skilled team.
You will be responsible for designing and developing applications that interface with defense technology using TypeScript and React. You will translate UI/UX design concepts and wireframes into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between the front end and C++ back end.
This position is ideal for a software engineer with expertise within the front end and UX/XI space but has a deep passion for real world engineering hardware and wants to shift into the space!
The person;

• Strong experience in React / TypeScript and UX/UI skills
• Interested in working on real world engineering hardware products
• Must be a US Citizen (due to defense industry clearance requirements)
• Willing to work onsite
• Monday-Friday (relocation support provided)
  The role:
• Developing responsive, lightweight electron applications that run on embedded systems with hardware resource constraints (e.g., CPU, memory, storage).
• Develop and maintain electron applications using TypeScript and React
• Turn UI/UX designs and wireframes into intuitive, high-performing user interfaces
• Collaborate with teams to integrate front end with C++ back-end systems
• Work closely with a senior embedded engineer in a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team
