Sr. Front End UI Developer Position Available In Orange, Florida

Job Description:

Summary As a Front End (UI) Software Engineer you will be responsible forbuilding and supporting client web/mobile (digital) applicationsusing HTML, CSS, JS and Java. This role focuses on creatingperformant and scalable code for both large and small digitalprojects with a focal point on the user interface and experience.

The role is responsible for partnering across multiple areas of thebusiness and IT in the delivery of cross platform, browser softwareapplication delivery that is responsive or mobile native. You willbe responsible for developing sophisticated digital experiences andmust be proficient with front-end web development practices. Thisrole sits within the information technology development/deliveryteams and will need to be able to build (hands-on), while alsoguiding and leading other senior engineers to deliver solid robustinnovative experiences. A front-end web software engineer/developer is generally expectedto: Develop functional and appealing web applications basedon usability/user experience Use a combination of markup languages to write web pagesor responsive sites Write functional requirement documents and specificationsfor UI Create quality mock-ups and prototypes Assist back-end developers in coding and troubleshootingthe translations Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistentacross all browsers and platforms Maintain graphic standards and brand guidelinesthroughout the product’s interface Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies Promote usability best practices and industry standards(W3C, WCAG, ADA, etc.) a) Education BS or MS in Computer Information Systems, InteractionDesign, Graphic Design, Information Design, Human-ComputerInteraction or equivalent visual arts design degree or equivalentwork experience. b) Knowledge andskills Expertise in business web application development, userinterface design principles and web standards as well as auser-centered design process. Provide technical guidance to creative teams with respectto possible technical solutions for client projects. Evaluating business and creative design requirements toproduce estimates and technical designs. Interpreting design specifications and producingfunctional code on test environments as well as clientsites. Identifying technical risk and communicating clearly witharchitecture and project management teams Assist Technical Delivery Manager in coordinating theinternal development tasks Experience translating comps and wireframes into flexibleand usable code templates Experience with Section 508/Accessibility practices, W3Cstandards, etc. Expertise in gathering information and engineeringdocumentation and convert that into clear and simpleuser-consumable help content. Expertise in the capabilities and limitations of modernweb browsers, UI frameworks, HTML5, CSS3 and scripting languagessuch as JavaScript. Ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into aworking experience Maintain high coding standards and practices andexercising quality control on all aspects ofdevelopment Experience working with geo-distributedteams. Ability to interpret wireframes, UX documentation,annotated comps and design artifacts Highly creative thinking with a keen sense of customerexperience and customer needs Attention to detail in visual arrangement, color,typography and flow with the ability to communicate designstrategies effectively Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills (both verbaland written) Experience in developing mobile specific (native) orresponsive sites c) TechnicalSkills Strong knowledge in the capabilities and limitations ofmodern web browsers, UI frameworks Expert-level skill in hand-coding

HTML/CSS/JS

withknowledge of HTML5 feature set (semantic markup, CSS3, web workers,etc.) and major Javascript libraries and frameworks (jQuery,etc.) Exposure to native mobile application development for iOSor Android platforms as well as some knowledge of alternativemobile development technologies (PhoneGap,Appcelerator-Titanium) Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, front-endtechnologies such as Flash or ActionScript, CMS and/or e-Commercedevelopment, and server-side development technologies (Java, JSP,Node.js, Interwoven, HP Autonomy TeamSite/LiveSite).
