We are seeking a B2C experienced and strategic Senior UX Design (UXD) Manager to lead and drive our pet-parent-focused application as part of our Veterinary CRM suite. This role will be responsible for helping to collaboratively drive product vision and execution with your cross-functional partners while ensuring alignment with pet parent needs. As the leader, you will manage a team of talented UX designers, work cross-functionally with product owners (across both pet parent and clinic-facing apps), marketing, and engineering. Additionally, this role will partner with colleagues from practice information management systems (PIMs), ensuring a high-quality experience for both veterinary clinicians and pet parents, helping to improve clinic/pet parent communications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Product Innovation
Driving design for features that support high-quality veterinary consultations, helping veterinarians deliver clear, informed, and actionable guidance to pet parents via highly engaging experiences
Working with UX designers, product ownership, engineering, and UX research, steward interface design and prototyping throughout development, testing, and implementation
Working with your cross-functional partners, you’ll help drive requirements and identify solutions to user workflow challenges
Build prototypes and simulations of user experiences
Produce wireframes, customer journey maps, specifications, and other design-related documentation
Participate in user research and observe usability tests, which are organized and facilitated by UX researchers
Leverage our design system and other standards resources to document common approaches to UXD
Incorporating customer research and feedback, market trends to drive long-term success.
Help drive interoperability with PIMs platforms, enabling seamless two-way communication between veterinarians and pet parents
Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, helping refine product positioning and differentiation
Team Leadership & Development
Mentor and lead a high-performing team of UX designers, fostering a collaborative, innovative culture, and working with UXD leadership to help maintain the same across the global team
Set clear goals, objectives, and success metrics for the team, ensuring accountability and growth
Encourage a customer-centric and data-driven approach to interaction design, leveraging insights to drive intuitive solutions
Promote cross-functional collaboration and empower the team to take ownership of their product areas
Veterinary Consultation & Pet Parent Communication Excellence
Develop features that enable veterinarians to provide high-quality guidance for pet parents, ensuring appealing data-driven recommendations and improved pet health outcomes
Enhance real-time communication capabilities between veterinarians and pet parents, supporting follow-ups, treatment adnce, and care continuity
Work with cross-functional partners to ensure that pet parent communication tools integrate seamlessly into the veterinary workflow, reinforcing trust, education, and proactive pet care
Stakeholder Communication
Manage expectations and communications at all levels – both internal to the team and with cross-company stakeholders, including product teams, engineering teams, and executive leadership
What you need to succeed:
6-10+ years of experience in UX design with at least 3+ years in a leadership role, preferably in B2C and SaaS, with veterinary software solutions experience a plus
Experience in managing and scaling high-performing UX teams
Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage expectations at both team and stakeholder levels
Understanding of B2C and B2B2C business models
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
