Job Description

Description As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be part of a cross-functional team of Project and Functional Leads, UX/UI Designers, Researchers, Industrial Designers, Software Engineers and more to design digital solutions that meet user needs, mitigate risk, and delight clients. The designer is responsible for representing the user to deliver thoughtful design solutions. You will ensure that all elements of the digital user experience is optimized for improved usability, accessible interaction, information and visual design. The ideal candidate should be an innovative, creative and well-organized self-starter. Passionate for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to design problems by staying up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.

What You Will Do:
  • UX/UI functional lead supporting client programs in the med tech space.

Leading the UX design of new digital products, their education and product labeling. o Support cross functional project teams in a lead designer role, with the ability to create deliverables that translate unmet user needs into design solutions. o In this role you will support a range of deliverables that could include the following areas: low-fidelity wireframes, information architectures, workflow diagrams, interactive prototypes through defining a UI Specification and Style Guide for software implementation. o Ability to visually communicate clinical data in digital applications through story telling. o The design of labeling for improved user experience, education and risk reduction o Can support the user experience design for instructions for use (IFU’s), quick reference guides (QRG), On device and labeling interactive users guides. o Support a culture of critical review and design critique with the aim of creating experiences that are intuitive and effective by use scenario. o Assists with clinical site visits, user research, concept feedback sessions and & usability testing of early static stimuli / interactive prototypes to capture user feedback for integration into the program. o Collaborating with Design Research, Industrial Design, Human Factors, and Software Engineering to develop digital solutions.

  • Present design solutions to clients with clear design intent and able to plan design activities so the UX/UI team are set up for success on client programs.

o Advises client relationships as a design lead and supports the project team’s goals. o Ability to develop client presentations, capturing the design process. o Ability to work through tight deadlines by planning activities, setting expectations and pacing yourself to deliver within timeline and budget on projects. Works with the UX/UI manager as needed to plan these activities.

  • Support and build team culture and discipline expertise. o Provides leadership, training, guidance, and support to UX/UI staff by mentoring junior level designers in conceptualizing comprehensive UX/UI design solutions. o Shares knowledge and actively listens for the team’s needs. o Assists management with team-building activities, as needed.
  • Interest in gaining awareness of business development activities.

o Interest in understanding the proposal process in business development activities. o Advocate in the UX/UI design community to establish themselves as a leader.   • Experience in medical devices and healthcare software solutions.
  • Experience with healthcare industry and specialty experience in medical device markets.
  • Track record of thoughtful, user-focused product insights, with the ability to handle ambiguity. while working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with working in a collaborative environment using agile methods.
  • Working knowledge of software and developer languages are a plus.
  • User Research Study and experience a plus (Contextual Inquiry, Formative, Validation and etc.)
  • Medical device labeling and packaging design experience is a plus.

Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 – $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
