What You’ll Do
As a Senior UX Designer on the Unreal Creator Tools team, you’ll help shape the future of 3D creation by driving visual, interaction, and workflow design across our suite of tools. Collaborating with artists, designers, researchers, and engineers, you’ll define the next generation of creative tools for games, film, architectural visualization, product design, and more. Through research, prototyping, and iteration, you’ll craft intuitive interfaces, optimize workflows, and contribute to building the creative tools of tomorrow.
In this role, you will
Design layouts, interaction patterns, and visual styles for software user interfaces
Produce materials to illustrate your concepts, including personas, storyboards, sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Iterate on ideas and make them real in collaboration with designers, engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts
Review existing UI for new and legacy features to identify and solve design problems
Help establish guidelines and standards for visual language within and across product lines
Design and develop new mechanisms and visual conventions that make product features easier to discover, use, and love
Seek out and incorporate user feedback through interviews, testing, and other research
What we’re looking for
4+ years of UX design experience focused on creative tools or a related field
Proficiency with 2D and 3D creative tools such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, and similar software
Experience with game engines is strongly preferred
Ability to ingest a complex feature concept idea and to simplify it to a discoverable and intuitive user experience
Proficiency with industry standard prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Creative Cloud)
Exceptional visual design skills with an eye for detail
Autonomy and the ability to help drive a design from concept to delivery
Team spirit, strong communication and collaboration skills
A passion to make tools and experiences that empower other creatives to realize their creative vision
Technical curiosity and adaptability
