Job Description
Description The client is a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider that serves both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers. As of December 28, 2024, they operated 4,788 stores primarily within the United States, with additional locations in Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company also served 934 independently owned Carquest branded stores across these locations in addition to Mexico and various Caribbean islands. Currently looking to hire a mid-level UX Designer/Generalist to join their unified UX Design and Digital Production team. In an effort to overhaul their B2B eCommerce platform and POS store systems, they are looking for someone who is well-versed in UX design and UX research. Since the team of UX/UI Designers are multi-disciplinary in this regard, this individual will be conducting user research, gathering feedback from store Team Members, creating mockups and prototypes for their eCommerce platform redesign. The objective here is to ensure parity between the B2B platform and the store systems to improve efficiency and experience for the store Team Members. Collaboration with the product team to identify tests, provide ideas to boost eCommerce performance, and make visual changes through A/B testing and prototyping is required of this position. Additionally, in-store research will be a regular part of this role as gaining real time user feedback from store Team Members will provide insight on improvements to the POS store system.

utilizes Figma for UX Design and to house their design system. Proficiency in Figma is required.

the UX team is part of their product organization and this role in particular will be tied to their B2B eCommerce experience overhaul and their internal POS system improvements (Point of Sale).•
POS System:
similarly to eCommerce experience, this team is tied to their POS system and will be actively going onsite to different locations to do research on their current POS experience and how to improve the team member experience in-store. Overhauling their B2B eCommerce platform this year in tandem with improving the store Team members’ experience using their store systems (POS). Both share similar platforms, and the joint efforts will greatly impact the usability of the system and the customer data it can pull, as well as part availability in-store. - 3-5 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on e-commerce or experimentation
- Proficient in Figma and other design tools
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design process and customer-facing work
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 4 days per week in the office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the retail or automotive industry
