About The Role
This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.
FDM is seeking a Senior UI Developer located in New York, NY to support a project in the finance sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 months but may be extended.
This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.
Lead the development of cutting-edge user interfaces for generative AI applications. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive UI designs that effectively showcase AI and quantitative capabilities while ensuring exceptional user experiences.
What You’ll Do:
Design, develop, test, document, deploy, maintain, and enhance user interfaces for quantitative applications and Generative AI applications.
Extensive or advanced front-end development expertise in web and mobile applications.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop UI architectures, design specifications, and implementation requirements.
Engage in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to promote ongoing technical development within the UI team.
Analyze UI performance and optimize applications for maximum speed, responsiveness, and scalability.
Create cutting-edge, interactive prototypes utilizing the latest front-end technologies

About You
What You’ll Need:
8+ years of proven experience as a UI Developer with a strong command of front-end technologies.
Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js, with experience in developing UI using micro front-end architecture.
Knowledge of WebGL, Canvas, or SVG for dynamic visualizations
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices for designing user-friendly interfaces.
Strong analytical skills to assess the behavior and performance of UI components, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
