Principal UX Designer

LOCATION

Kennett Square, PA (Up to 40% telework permitted)

DUTIES:

Responsible for transforming business opportunities and user research into practical, user-friendly products. Establish best practices in UX design, make strategic design decisions, and create or – lead the creation of – detailed design artifacts, including wireframes and prototypes. Mentor junior UX team members, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and maintain strong relationships with global business stakeholders. Conduct extensive user research and usability testing to inform design decisions, advocate for user needs, and ensure data-driven solutions. Understand development platforms in order to communicate with Developers. Stay up-to-date with industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation in design processes. Work in an Agile environment, rapidly iterate on designs to continuously improve user experiences. Foster a user-centric culture within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Communications, or related field and 3 years in any job title involving UX design experience. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Communications, or related field and 6 years in any job title involving UX design experience also accepted.

Prior experience must include:

experience with rapid prototyping concepts and design in an Agile development environment; experience with information hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layouts; creating visual mock-ups, usable prototypes, or graphic elements using Axure, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite; experience with HTML and CSS to communicate with developers; experience with JavaScript for prototyping purposes; experience in responsive and device-agnostic design; leading multiple design projects; setting design vision and design strategy; and collaborating with cross-functional partners. Up to 40% telework permitted. Up to 10% domestic travel required for business meetings.

SALARY:

$104,442/year
