Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead UI/UX Designer and Researcher to drive the assessment and redesign of a major healthcare organization’s Intranet site. This role will involve deep user research, interface redesign, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a user-centric and modernized SharePoint experience for over 1000 healthcare professionals. The first five weeks will be focused on understanding the current environment, identifying issues, and gathering end-user feedback.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current SharePoint Intranet site
Identify UX/UI pain points and areas of improvement
Perform user interviews and collect feedback from doctors, healthcare staff, and administrative personnel
Redesign the Intranet interface using user-centered design methodologies
Ensure the design aligns with UI/UX best practices and information architecture standards
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, IT, and end-users to validate requirements and solutions
Document all research findings, design decisions, and redesign progress for internal and client reporting
Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and incorporate best practices into the redesign
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in UI/UX design and user research
Strong experience in conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests
Hands-on expertise in designing SharePoint or similar Intranet platforms
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with healthcare environments and understanding of clinical user needs
Ability to translate user feedback into actionable design improvements
Proficiency in UI/UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
Portfolio showcasing Intranet and SharePoint design work
Preferred Skills:
Basic understanding of creative visual design concepts
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
Experience in Agile or cross-functional design teams
Certifications:
Not mandatory, but UI/UX design certifications are a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or a related field
