Role:

Metro Esports is excited to offer freelance and part-time opportunities for passionate and knowledgeable STEM Instructors. These roles are essential in our mission to integrate esports and gaming with an experiential and interdisciplinary approach to education. As a STEM Instructor, you will be at the forefront of educational sessions, workshops, programs, courses, and classes. Teach courses and lead programs such as Minecraft & Code (JavaScript), Roblox & Code (Lua), Intro to Content Creation, Game Design, Graphic Design, Programming in Python, Esports Business, Build-a-Computer, and more.

Our mission is to create access and build bridges in the esports world, introducing communities to STEM careers and helping them develop necessary skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in various STEM subjects, particularly in gaming and esports-related areas. Teach courses and lead programs such as Unreal Engine, Unity, GoDot, Minecraft & Code (JavaScript), Roblox & Code (Lua), Intro to Content Creation, Game Design, Graphic Design, Programming in Python, Esports Business, Build-a-Computer, and more. Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups ranging from Grade 3 to 12. Collaborate in curriculum development and refinement. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in STEM and esports education.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Coding (Python, etc.), Game Design, Esports, Minecraft, Roblox, Computer Science, STEM Education. Experience in teaching or instructing, preferably in a related field. Passion for gaming, esports, and education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Compensation:

Tech-Ed Instruction:

$40/hr

Curriculum Development:

$20/hr

Esports Program Lead:

$25/hr How to
