Temp-to-hire Job Summary This is a great consulting opportunity for a creative individualwith an experience working as a Graphic Artist and UserInterface/Experience Designer. You must be able to interacteffectively with project managers and business users, and thepassion for creating high quality designs and products. Youwill have the opportunity to work and collaborate with other verybright individuals working on new and exciting projects. This is a highly visible position requiringinteraction will all levels of management and supporting both thebusiness and technology groups.
Technical skills:
- Excellent communication skills are a must
- Extensive knowledge of usability, methodologies/tools includinguser profiles, user scenarios, navigation flow charts,organizational models, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, featurelists, functional requirements and user interfacespecifications
- In-depth knowledge of user experience disciplines : usability,user centric design processes and design driven data analysis
- Experience with building dashboards or data visualizations (usingtools like QlikView) is a big plus
- Background in graphic design or art for the web
- Design or create graphics that best fits given project, such asdashboards, displays, icons, borders, water marks, navigation,images etc.
- Expert in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent
- Knowledgeable in color theory and ability to apply colorrecommendations based on project requirements
- Extensive experience creating or improving MS Power Pointpresentations
- Proficiency in working with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Visio is aplus
- Must be detail-oriented with abilities to multi-task and toeffectively handle changing requirements and priorities
- Experience in solution development using SDLC in waterfall andinitiative modes
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision or as partof a team
Responsibilities:
- Liaison between business users and technical staff throughoutproject lifecycle
- Develop detailed functional requirements and UI/UX designdocuments for web based and reporting solutions
- Participate in change management processes and ensuring changesare properly tested and migrated to production
- Support User Acceptance Testing
- Occasional overtime may be required in order to meetdeadlines
- Responsible, in conjunction with Project Manager and BusinessAnalyst, for the overall project deliverable
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 yearsprogressive experience as a Graphic Artist.
Additionaltraining or advanced degree in interface design, informationdesign, interaction design, graphical art or illustrationspreferred
