This position combines advanced JavaScript/TypeScript development skills with DevOps practices to create and enhance developer experiences, automate workflows, and implement software templates. The role requires expertise in modern front-end development, CI/CD practices, and a deep understanding of developer platforms and tools. This role is critical role to increase the engagement of developers and to better integrate all future code and patterns into a centralized developer portal. Primary Job Functions Design and develop custom plugins for the Backstage developer portal Create and maintain software templates and scaffolding solutions Implement automation workflows for developer experience Develop and maintain frontend components using React Build integrations with various DevOps tools and platforms Implement CI/CD pipelines for platform components Create and maintain documentation templates Design and implement developer experience improvements Contribute to the Backstage open-source community Implement metrics and analytics for platform usage Develop custom workflows for service creation and management Create and maintain TechDocs documentation Integrate with existing development tools and platforms Actively participate in code reviews and development activities Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions

Job Qualifications Education :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience:

5+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript development experience 3+ years of React development experience 3+ years of Experience with Backstage, backstage.spotify.com Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation Proficiency in Git and version control practices Experience with API development and integration Understanding of cloud-native development practices Knowledge of developer tooling and platforms Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc ) A good understanding and implementation experience with security frameworks and compliance standards. Experience with enterprise integration patterns and their implementation Experience with Backstage development and customization Contributions to open-source projects Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration Experience with documentation-as-code practices Understanding of GraphQL and RestAPI Experience with developer platforms and portals Familiarity with microservices architecture Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Apply today and find your home at Ashley!
