SUMMARY:
The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications using modern PHP frameworks. You will work closely with departments and other developers to build secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications. Experience with CMS platforms, RESTful APIs, MySQL, JS/CSS frameworks and AWS infrastructure is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CakePHP. Optimize and manage relational databases, primarily MySQL, for performance and scalability. Build and integrate APIs for internal and third-party services. Manage and customize CMS platforms such as ExpressionEngine, or others as needed. Develop full stack web application solutions. Architect AWS-based infrastructure solutions and manage cloud services (S3, MediaConvert, etc.). Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews. Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
WHAT YOU NEED
5+ years of professional experience in web development Strong proficiency in PHP and at least one major PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP). Deep understanding of MySQL, including performance tuning and complex queries. Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, preferably ExpressionEngine). Solid knowledge of AWS services and deploying web applications in a cloud environment. Experience with MediaConvert a plus. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue or React). Ability to work independently and lead small development projects. Knowledge and experience integrating with AI systems.
