(Software Developer in Test with strong expertise in test automation to design and execute robust testing solutions for innovative brokerage and financial applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical engineer who thrives in collaborative Agile environments and values continuous learning, efficiency, and code quality.
Requirements:
Develop and maintain robust Java-based test suites using Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit for functional testing of Web UI applications. Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable, testable solutions. Design, build, and run automated tests in CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, Jenkins Core, and other orchestration tools. Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend testing and data validation. Conduct web services testing and work with RESTful APIs to ensure data integrity and performance. Actively participate in all phases of Agile development, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous delivery. Debug, isolate, and reproduce issues and validate fixes while advocating for code quality and testing standards. Participate in team initiatives for test coverage improvement, auditing compliance, and process optimization.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Proven experience testing financial and brokerage applications (Fixed Income product knowledge is a plus). Multi-stack engineering skills with exposure to Java, JavaScript/Angular, HTTP, RESTful APIs, and front-end/backend architecture. Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins Core, Artifactory, Stash, or similar tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices, especially around continuous integration and deployment. Experience with Agile frameworks and tools such as JIRA. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset. Strong communication skills with a willingness to mentor peers and share best practices.
