Job Description
Design and develop complex program specifications and system prototypes to provide technical requirements to guide application program development. Code complex application programs using multiple technologies, platforms, and languages. Design, develop, and execute unit and integration test plans. Work with the Database Administrators and Business Systems Analysts to develop a physical database design that supports efficient processing while meeting all system requirements. Develop task estimates for the design, development, and testing of application programs. Interface with the other Information Technologies groups to provide requirements, support for testing new releases and products, and support for problem resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and five years of experience in application development in a database environment using client/server technologies.
- Four years of experience performing applications development work in the telecommunications industry.
- Experience with database design in a relational database environment.
- Experience with FCC USF funding programs, specifically the High-Cost program administered by USAC.
- Proficiency with Microsoft .NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Xamarin, PL/SQL, C, ProC, MS Access, and Crystal Reports.
- Proficiency with detailed task planning and estimation using automated software.
- Knowledge of application and program design using object-oriented or structured design techniques.
- Knowledge of constructing and unit testing programs in a client/server and relational database environment.
- Knowledge of Unit, integration, performance and quality assurance testing techniques.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
