Backend Services Developer (Kubernetes)
Locations can be either: Plano, TX; New York City, NY; Mountain View, CA We re seeking a true backend developer with DevOps expertise to join our integrated engineering team. You’ll help scale cloud-native microservices in Kubernetes and ensure production system reliability across globally distributed environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and scale microservices running on Kubernetes (AWS)
Collaborate across engineering, product, and vendor teams to meet project goals
Enhance architecture while preserving system integrity and uptime
Debug production issues and implement long-term solutions
Write and execute integration and performance tests for E2E systems
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science or related field
8+ years software development in production environments
Strong experience with:
Backend Stack:
JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, NestJS
DevOps Tools:
Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Helm
AWS:
EKS, EC2, RDS, MSK, OpenSearch, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM
Other Tech:
Kafka, MySQL (incl. sharding), Elasticsearch, Swagger, OAuth
Preferred:
Frontend experience with React.js
Familiarity with modern observability and reliability best practices
