Backend Developer Location:
Hybrid Work Model in Columbia, SC (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite and as needed; first week of training Monday – Thursday) Join our innovative team focused on advancing application development and systems testing. We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Java, REST API, and OpenShift. This role is not suitable for entry-level developers.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain back-end applications using Java, REST API, and OpenShift.
Conduct systems testing to ensure robust application performance.
Collaborate on projects to enhance system functionality and reliability.
Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR 4 years of job-related work experience, OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate’s degree in a related field.
4 years of IT work experience, including application development or systems testing.
Proficiency in Java, REST API development, and OpenShift.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Local candidates only; no sponsored candidates.
No C2 clearance required.
Work Schedule:
Core hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, with flexibility for the first week of training (Monday – Thursday onsite).
Partial onsite presence required: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and as needed.
