POSITION OVERVIEW
FirstTracks is currently seeking a Website Support Specialist to join our amazing team. The Website Support Specialist will work alongside our Web Development Director and the rest of the Web Development Team on an array of website support projects. FirstTracks Marketing is a closely-knit team that works together on a constant basis. Our Website Support Specialist needs to be a highly effective communicator and team player. The ideal person must work well both with our internal team and with all our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of the Website Support Specialist is to manage the schedule, deadline and budgets across all clients for keeping their WordPress infrastructure up to date, and also complete any website content requests from clients.
Website Updates:
updating WordPress and all plugins for 50+ active client websites on a regular basis
Testing & QA:
work with the Dev Team with reviewing websites, looking for bugs, recommending improvements and completing user testing of our custom developed solutions
Content Management:
work with the Dev Team & Marketing Team with any content requests from clients (entering new content, editing existing content, adjusting images and importing/exporting of content) The secondary responsibilities of the Website Support Specialist is in assisting the Dev Team with website programming Adjustments to client sites that require
HTML & CSS
modifications to suite clients’ requests. Assisting with minor programming tasks assigned to the dev team. Template development programming for custom WordPress themes (creating WordPress templates from a design mockup)
EXPERIENCE A
degree in computer science (or a related field) or commensurate experience in the field of website development. Previous experience required working at an agency, company or freelance environment managing WordPress sites and content. Willingness to learn, take feedback, managing deadlines and managing client expectations. SKILLS Excellent knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, FTP and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is required. Knowledge of WooCommerce, PHP, MySQL, Javascript and PhotoShop is highly desirable. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to structure your daily and weekly schedule in order to successfully meet time & budget constraints.
