Airport Operations Officer Position Available In Penobscot, Maine

The City currently has an opening for an Airport Operations Officer. Bangor International Airport is a Part 139 compliant commercial air service airport. The Airport Operations Officer is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations of the airfield, terminal and aprons. This position involves a broad range of responsibilities, from overseeing the implementation of airport safety protocols to coordinating between various departments and agencies to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Under the direction of the Manager of Airfield Operations, this position plans, organizes, and oversees airside and landside operations. Working knowledge of the principles, techniques and accepted practices of airport operations and maintenance, FAR Part 139, FAA Advisory Circulars, and

TSAR 1542.

Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work and operations on airports. Proficiency in the use of electronic devices and various programs including Microsoft suite. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient time management. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and customer service skills.
