Coordines with Principal Operions Inspectors throughout the FAA who are assigned air carrier operors using the training center to ensure proper applicion of training programs for the particular air carrier involved. Coordines with training center management regarding regulory changes, FAA policy mters, and upded training requirements as needed. Coordines and conducts various surveillance and certificion activities, as approprie, with other FAA district office inspectors. Provides technical oversight to assigned Fleet Training Program Managers. Inities and/or assists in the emergency suspension of airmen certifices. Conducts enforcement investigions and prepares final reports in those cases requiring legal disposition. Provides technical assistance to legal counsel, testifies court trials and formal hearings, and gives depositions. Reviews and submits with recommendions, training center certifice applicions, training center curriculum, and associed revisions. Recommends amendments to previously approved programs when contrary to existing regulory requirements, to elimine unsafe practices or to improve the specificity of instruction. Determines approprie methods and/or plans for securing corrective action, when needed, and conducts follow-up inspections to insure th approprie action has been taken. Recommends the designion of training center evaluors for types of aircraft and simulors opered by the training center. Examines and trains training center evaluors for initial designion, recertificion and standardizion actions as necessary. Conducts practical tests for certificion and rings. Conducts reexaminion of certificed airmen when it is determined th they do not meet the minimum standards required for the certifice they hold. Approves flight simulors and flight training devices for each maneuver, procedure, crewmember function, circling approach, and runway scene to be used in an approved training program. Develops and conducts a surveillance program for all training center activities. Monitors flight crew training programs conducted by the training center to ensure compliance with the FAR, nional and regional directives, and safe opering practices. Monitors TCEs during the conduct of airman certificion and recurring evaluions to insure strict compliance with established standards. Conducts hands-on evaluion of flight training devices to determine th they continue to meet original specificions in accordance with guidance provided in the approprie Advisory Circulars.
