The SASI assesses assigned aerospace organizions (both the certifice holder, as well as organizion designion authorizion (ODA) functions, if applicable) compliance with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulions (14 CFR) with respect to system, process, production, airworthiness, and type certificion programs. Leads stregic plan development of oversight actions for audits, supervision, and inspection activities (as applicable) of assigned aerospace organizions within personnel and budget limitions. Determines team needs for risk-targeted oversight actions in terms of areas and depth, locion, and frequency th most productive to assure adherence to the aerospace organizions deleged certificion functions as applicable, safety management, and/or quality system. The SASI works with cross-organizional groups to assure on a continuing basis th the quality systems, organizion, ODA (as applicable), production facilities, and aeronautical products of assigned aerospace organizions are in compliance with FAA approvals and 14CFRs. The ASI conducts oversight and/or audits in accordance with FAA Orders 8100.15, 8120.22 Production Approval Procedures, 8120.23 Certifice Management of Production Approval Holders, and other established policies. The SASI serves as a design and manufacturing expert in the FAA Compliance Program including investigion of violions, accidents, incidents, and malfunctions/defects th may be tributable to assigned organizions. The SASI coaches/mentors and reviews the work of lower grade inspectors, and lower/equivalent/or higher-grade employees (relive to oversight reled duties) and performs other duties as assigned.
