General Description of Duties (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Under the direct supervision of the maintenance director, the staff member carries out the effective operation and systems of the maintenance department as assigned. As maintenance staff member, the individual is expected to follow all directives and assignments from the maintenance director. In all job related duties, the staff member is expected to use effective soft skills with all school community members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Function:

Maintenance Duties
Participates in all systems of the maintenance department
Meets all maintenance expectations per district, state, and federal requirements

Function:

Operation of Equipment
Use working knowledge of proper operatiochrn of all maintenance equipment to perform duties
Maintains assigned equipment
Accepts reports of needed repairs from in a timely manner
Reports needed repairs to supervisor in a timely manner

Function:

Operation of Established Safety Rules
Remains thoroughly aware of and follows safety precautions
Reports potential safety and health hazards to appropriate supervisor(s)
Secures the areas of assigned campus(es) upon completion of maintenance duties
Participates in the campus safety protocols and plans

Function:

Bus Driver
Complete assigned bus route daily
Maintain positive and productive communication
Participate in all systems of the transportation department as related to bus drivers under the direction of the Director of Student Safety Systems
Complete required training and other training as assigned Maintain appropriate CDL

General Working Requirements
Adhere to assigned schedule
Assists other maintenance workers with duties when needed to meet timelines
Completes all assigned duties without instruction and with minimal supervision
Assists with moving furniture, supplies, and/or materials as requested by supervisor(s)
Serves as a contributing team member of the maintenance department and district staff

Maintains confidentiality after observing personal material relating to students and staff
Directs all concerns to immediate supervisor(s)

Physical Effort
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to stoop, squat, lift, carry, push,and climb
Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally
Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently
Ability to exert upto10 pounds of force to move objects often and as needed

Work for duration of the daily contracted time period
Be physically present and at assigned work location with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year
Dress in professional manner in accordance with personnel policy at all times when on duty
Perform described physical activities representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
