JOB SUMMARY
To serve our customers bysafely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse bydriving a tractor trailer to various customers and properlydelivering and unloading product according to customer invoices andcompany standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart downramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places indesignated customer storage areas according to customerspecifications and company standards (e.g., handling productaccording to preferred work methods, scanning product as it isdelivered into the store).
- Ensures all paperwork is completedaccording to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g.,DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, company vehiclemaintenance reports and pre
- and post-trip reports are completedaccurately and submitted on a timely basis, ensures all invoicesare accurate and turned in daily and all damages and shortages arereported promptly).
- Ensures all food safety protocols are metaccording to established guidelines (e.g., proper temperatures aremaintained in the delivery vehicle, product is inspected forvisible damages prior to delivery, product is delivered and storedto prevent cross contamination) and maintains sanitary conditionsin tractor and trailer; assists with maintaining sanitaryconditions in the warehouse and yard.
- Develops and establishesgood relationships with customers by providing excellent andcourteous service with clear communication.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractortrailer driving experience. Completion of a tractor trailer drivingschool will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high schooldiploma.
- 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experiencerequired.
Food and/or beverage delivery experience a plus.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class ACommercial Driver’s License.
Must be insurable to operate a vehicleas a condition of initial and continued employment.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
DOT regulations; Hazmatguidelines; Safe lifting and delivery practices.
Skill in:
drivingover long distances, over a variety of terrains and in varyingweather conditions, communicating with customers; solving problems;delivering product.
Ability to:
drive a tractor-trailer unit bothin the day and at night in a variety of traffic and weatherconditions and remain alert and aware of surroundings; meet orexceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company;handle hazardous materials and food and restaurant items that arefrozen, dry and refrigerated; operate a 3 axle tractor, 45′
- 48’trailer, straight truck, on board computer, key pad and a 2 wheelhand cart; ability to read and speak the English languagesufficiently to converse with the general public, to understandhighway traffic signs and signals in the English language, torespond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports andrecords ; perform basic math functions (e.
g. add, subtract,multiply, divide); effectively plan and organize work activitiesindependent of direct supervision; solve problems.

The associate is frequently required to lift, push, or moveproduct that weighs up to 50 pounds by hand and push/pull up to 350pounds of product with a 2-wheeled hand cart down a ramp and intothe customer’s storage areas; climb in and out of a tractor andtrailer; reach to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart; bend andtwist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving itemsfrom trailer. Specific vision abilities required by this jobinclude close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheralvision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- While performing the dutiesof this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet, hot,extreme cold and/or humid conditions; and moving mechanical partsand may be required to work in confined spaces.
The associateusually works an overnight schedule, including weekends, holidays,overtime, on-call and starting at various times are required tosuccessfully meet customers’ needs. The associate is occasionallyexposed to high, precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
