The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students and passengers to their designated locations while ensuring a positive and secure environment. This role requires strong communication skills, and the ability to manage behavior. Duties Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Manage student behavior effectively while on the bus, promoting a respectful and safe atmosphere. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Assist children with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators regarding schedules and any issues that may arise. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; school bus driving experience is required. CDL license with endorsement of Passengers and School Bus required Minimum 2 years of experience Ability to manage behavior in a diverse group of children; experience with children is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Ability to educate passengers on safety protocols and procedures effectively.
